Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Tragic Road Accident

Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople stated on late Wednesday. The fighter was part of a serious road collision near Lagos on the 29th of December, a tragic incident that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Recovering from Minor Injuries

The boxer had been under observation while healing from his light wounds, his management team had said on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement online that Joshua was judged healthy enough to “recuperate at home”.

“Joshua and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two friends who passed away as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the commissioner stated.

A Tribute to the Fallen

The two men who died were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. The official further stated that the champion was filled with sorrow and overcome with emotion over the loss of his two trusted companions.”
