🔗 Share this article Hulu is Developing a Popular Game TV Show from the Producers of Alien: Earth and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The most recent Far Cry title that players experienced was Far Cry 6, that showcased Giancarlo Esposito in the role of the antagonist, Antón, and debuted on October 6, 2021. Throughout the franchise, it is famous for delighting in chaos and insanity with the same excitement, all while telling gripping, ideologically themed stories. No wonder then that the network’s recent announcement for a Far Cry seasonal program pulled in two producers whose projects have exemplified all of those qualities. Show Details Based on Ubisoft's popular video game series, the self-contained anthology series is set to premiere on Hulu and will be created by FX Productions. The show will also follow the video games' structure by having a new location and ensemble in each season. Creative Minds Rob Mac, mastermind of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Noah Hawley, the visionary behind FX's Alien: Earth and Fargo, will serve as lead producers on the series under their companies, More Better Productions for Mac, and 26 Keys for Hawley. They will be accompanied by Emilia Serrano for 26 Keys, Nick Frenkel for 3 Arts, Jackie Cohn for More Better Productions, John Campisi, Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, and Austin Dill for Ubisoft Film & Television. “FX has had magnificent collaborations with Rob Mac and Noah Hawley for a total six series and 32 seasons of television, and we are overjoyed that they are working together for Far Cry,” said Nick Grad, President, FX Entertainment, in a news release. “I have no doubt that they will deliver this story in a way that is original, gripping, and wildly entertaining. We also want to acknowledge our associates at Ubisoft for trusting us with this cherished property.” Upcoming Developments Mac will also appear in the show, but at the time of writing, we do not know what part that could be. Hawley's Alien: Earth was recently greenlit for a second instalment, with FX and Disney signing a new comprehensive agreement with the creator. “Getting to work with Noah Hawley is a goal achieved,” stated Rob Mac. “Ubisoft has been exceptionally accommodating, entrusting us with one of the most renowned video-game worlds ever created. And throughout this process, my FX family constantly supports me with their constant trust and backing.” “What I love about the Far Cry game collection is that it’s an anthology program. Every instalment is a variation of a concept, the same way every run of Fargo is a version on a story,” noted Hawley. “To produce a epic action show that can change from year to year, while always exploring the core of people through this multifaceted and turbulent perspective, is a dream come true. I’m thrilled to collaborate with Rob and present our mutual irreverent, ambitious sensibility to the audience.” A schedule for when we can anticipate the new Far Cry show has not yet been revealed. The series will stream on Hulu in the United States and on Disney Plus in other regions.
