Jet Carrying US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window

An aircraft transporting Pete Hegseth was required to make an unplanned landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was discovered in the jet's front window, per an official statement which stated that Hegseth was safe.

"The aircraft touched down in accordance with established safety measures and everyone onboard, among them Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a press officer stated in a social media post.

The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to the Belgian capital during the flight.

This event isn't the first occasion that a US military aircraft carrying a top government figure has experienced technical problems.

In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane carrying the US Secretary of State to the city in Germany was required to turn back to Washington DC after suffering a mechanical fault.
