Los Angeles witnessed widespread celebrations after the Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-match World Series title. Fans across the globe united with Angelenos in celebration, marking the first time in 25 years that a franchise has achieved back-to-back championships.

Victory Parade Attracts Enormous Turnout

Local celebrations included a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.

Social media videos show countless of Los Angeles residents flooding city center avenues, many carrying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The squad was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the crowds, raising the Commissioner’s trophy proudly.

“I’m already thinking about the third time we’re going to achieve this,” the star player remarked through an translator.

The parade route ended at Dodger Stadium, where the players walked out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ spinning music and the artist cruising a Pacific blue classic car around the stadium’s outfield.

Early Celebrations and Athlete Responses

Celebrations began well before the parade, with supporters setting off fireworks in the streets of Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday night.

The World Series MVP, named the World Series’ Most Valuable Player, commented plainly about the victory.

“Losing is not an option,” he said. “I love the Dodgers. I love Los Angeles.”

Mixed Reactions and Community Spirit

However, Mark Walter received a less warm reception at the celebration. Recordings from the event appear to show Walter walking onstage to a mix of cheers and boos, with negative shouts punctuating his speech.

The championship served as a bright spot in what has been a trying year for the city. An approximate 225,000 people showed up to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to Dodgers player one athlete, fans this year showed equal or greater enthusiasm.

“It seems it’s almost double from last year,” he remarked. “These fans are crazy. It’s so awesome to be a part of this.”
